The museum’s Main Galleries present collections covering the period from prehistoric Egypt through the Greco-Roman era.

11:30 AM – Tutankhamun Galleries

Enter the spectacular Tutankhamun Galleries, dedicated to the treasures of the famous young pharaoh.

12:30 PM – Free Time

Important Information

Museum entry is subject to the official Grand Egyptian Museum ticketing system and availability. Visitors should arrive according to their selected entry time.

The museum currently operates daily, with gallery hours generally from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the galleries remain open until 9:00 PM. Last entry is one hour before gallery closing.

Photography is permitted in most areas for personal use, subject to museum restrictions. Flash, tripods, selfie sticks, drones and live streaming are not permitted, and photography restrictions apply in designated areas of the Tutankhamun Galleries.
